We'd rather build it than write a proposal about it.
Creative Pandas is a small engineering team in Lutry, Switzerland. We keep running into the same kinds of problems — patient records that can't move between two systems, software priced far out of reach for a small business, an afternoon lost to paperwork a computer should have handled — so we build the thing that fixes it, then we run it. Seven products are live today, with real users.
What we build and run
Each of these started as a problem we or someone close to us actually had. They are separate products with their own users and roadmaps — some earning, some still early and honestly labelled as such.
MedBackend
Clinical software mostly cannot share a patient record without someone writing a custom integration first. MedBackend is the layer that makes it routine, built on FHIR throughout. Running in production, including a deployment in Estonia.
Schatzi
An AI assistant that runs entirely in Switzerland. For anyone who has to be able to answer where their conversations are processed and stored, and increasingly for anyone who would simply rather know.
AltSignals
Turns public professional-network activity into a clean, current company feed for sales and research teams, so nobody is pasting profiles into a spreadsheet at 11pm. Self-service trial, documented API.
OfficeLabs
Most AI writing tools sit beside your document and guess at it. OfficeLabs puts the model inside the editor itself, a LibreOffice fork, so it works on the real document, offline, on your own machine.
VaxMe
Vaccination histories still live in paper booklets and get retyped by hand. Photograph the page and VaxMe returns structured records, using vision models that read the handwriting ordinary OCR gives up on.
Lindest
Systematic trading-signal research across European and US small-cap equities. Reproducible pipelines and tested rules rather than gut calls.
FastSME
CRM, ERP, planning, analytics and clinic management — the software larger companies take for granted, rebuilt open source so a small business can self-host it for nothing. Every module has a live demo you can try without signing up.
How we work
We build, we don't advise
We don't sell strategy decks or hours. Everything on this page is something we designed, shipped and still maintain — which means we are also the ones woken up when it breaks. That tends to keep us honest about what is worth building.
Problems we've actually hit
Every product here started as a real annoyance, not a market-size slide. Vaccination records still get copied off paper by hand. Clinical systems still can't talk to each other. Small companies still can't afford decent software. So we started there.
Swiss, and it matters
We're based in Switzerland and host here. For anything touching health or personal data that isn't a marketing line — where the data physically sits is part of whether the product is usable at all.
Open when sharing beats keeping
Some of what we build is more useful in the open than locked up, so we publish it. We also contribute to open-source projects we rely on rather than quietly forking them.
What we've got good at
Different products, same handful of hard parts. These are the ones we've solved enough times to be quick at now.
Getting health data to move
FHIR modelling, keeping tenants properly separated, and shifting records between systems that were never designed to speak to each other.
Language models that stay useful
Model routing, Swiss-hosted inference, prompt and evaluation pipelines — including vision models reading handwriting that ordinary OCR gives up on.
Agents that run unattended
Long-running agents with supervision, sane retries, and enough monitoring to notice one is going wrong before a customer does.
Pipelines that survive the real world
Collection, parsing and enrichment that keeps working against sources which change shape without telling anyone.
Code you can read and use
Some of our work is more useful shared than kept. Everything below is public — clone it, run it, fork it.
zefix-mcp
Look up any Swiss company by UID, name or canton, including legal form, registry office and SHAB publications, from inside an AI assistant. A server for Zefix, the Swiss Federal Commercial Register.
More opens up over time — follow us on GitHub.

FastFPA
Driver-based budgets, rolling forecasts, scenarios, financial statements and variance analysis.
FastFunnel
Plan, create, review, schedule and measure marketing through a bounded AI agency.
Working on something similar?
We're happy to talk — especially if it overlaps with something we already build, or if you've hit a problem we've hit too.
